WHY WE EXIST
“A stranger worked on me for 15 minutes until EMS arrived! CPR and two AED shocks from a bystander saved my life!”
Our Founder, Jeanette Brewster, had one of the worst days of her life in a place that gave her the best chance of survival.
After parking her car at a church recreation center, Jeanette went into sudden cardiac arrest. Her then 9-year-old daughter immediately ran for help. A nearby worker reached Jeanette first and helped get her out of the car. Moments later, a security worker arrived, began CPR, and sent someone to retrieve the AED. When it arrived, he used it without hesitation.
Jeanette survived because the right people, the right training, and the right equipment were there when it mattered most.
That is why The 621 Foundation exists.
We want every person experiencing sudden cardiac arrest to have that same chance of survival, whether they are at a barbershop, a small business, a community gathering, a public space, or a place of worship.
Because being prepared should never depend on luck or your ZIP code.
